  • Hello Auhe,

Yes you can use an XML file as a datasource with Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2005.

When creating the report select the Create New Connection from Available Data Sources, then ADO.NET.  This will bring up a dialog box that will let you browse to an XML file.

  • I was able to set up a report connecting to an XML file and preview the report. But when I run the application, it is asking for a user ID and password. I am not sure what it is expecting. Can you help?
