Remote app for Sony ES Receiver

Question

Remote apps for Android and Apple exist for Sony ES Receivers.  We need one for Windows 8!  Do we have to wait for Sony or can anyone do one?

The current apps are made by Sony I believe.  I doubt that they have published an Software Development Kit for their network receivers but you could contact them and see if they have!
