BizTalk 2013 and SharePoint 2013 using CSOM Issue.. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I am trying to establish a connection between BizTalk 2013 and SharePoint 2013 using CSOM.

I have a site collection say "http://servername:45/sites/testsite/documentlibrary" which BizTalk user has access to and the document libraries are also accesible to the BizTalk user.

But when BizTalk tries to send document to the library there is this "System.Net.WebException] The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized."

However when the biztalk process user is given rights to the root .i.e. "http://servername:45" then the communication is set up correctly ..

Just wanted to know if this setting is required for BizTalk 2013 and SharePoint 2013 WSS adapter communication?

    Regards

  • Hi Ritu,

In WSS Adapter case you need to provide the BizTalk Host Instance user with “Contribute” access.  Those permissions were applied at the Site level so as long as you followed that step, you should not need to provide any additional permissions for this scenario.

Here is a detailed post which can help you: http://kentweare.blogspot.com/2009/10/sharetalk-integration-sharepointbiztalk_12.html
