  • Hi all,

    im experimenting with the kinect v2 to pickup any deviations in what should be a flat surface, whether that be a wall or floor. A good example would be a garage concrete floor which could easily deviate 5-10mm over the area, so i would need to move the kinect around too. The results of the depth map could then be charted or superimposed over the view.

    interested in any advice on how to go about this. eg best angle/height and whether i could simply walk the device around freehand? Early data captured has given mixed results eg slight curvatures, so any words of wisdom much appreciated.
