Will it be possible to create another account with a single app, and then add this Application ID to the ad accounts that we want to extract data from? RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are working on automating the process of extracting cost data on campaign level for multiple ad accounts. Will it be possible to create another account with a single app, and then add this Application ID to the ad accounts that we want to extract data from?  Say we have three ad accounts: A B C And we want to use account C to extract cost data from A and B. We then create an app under account C and add this application ID to app A and B.

  • From OAuth standpoint you can use one ClientId (application ID) to authorize any Bing Ads user. The scope of data that you can access depends on user permissions. Ask yourself: Does the user under account C have access to accounts A and B in the Bing Ads web application? If so, then the same permissions are allowed via API. For example if the accounts are under different customer shells, you can set up an agency relationship or invite the user to access multiple accounts. Please let me know if you have any follow up questions, or to discuss specifics (e.g. personal info) please feel free to contact support

    I hope this helps,
