MSI issue using WDK8 StorAhci StorPort Miniport Driver RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

    I'm study Message Signaled Interrupt.

I ever found a article on web, it says Storport miniport driver support MSI already.

I just add the following script in the inf

    [mydevice.HW] AddReg = mydevice_addreg [mydevice_addreg] HKR,Interrupt Management,,0x00000010 HKR,Interrupt Management\MessageSignaledInterruptProperties,,0x00000010 HKR,Interrupt Management\MessageSignaledInterruptProperties,MSISupported,0x00010001,1

After install the StorAhci StorPort Miniport Driver on Win7.

The device manager show that the disk can't work correctly.

    Anyone know what's wrong?

  • Storport is capable of supporting MSI interrupts.  You don't just take a random driver and change the registry to say it should use an MSI interrupt.  There is work needed in the driver.
