Windows Embedded Compact 2013 Platform Builder Subprojects and STL RRS feed

  • Question

  • The What's New (Compact 2013) [ http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg154234.aspx ] article states that "you can develop both applications and operating systems in Visual Studio 2012 Update 2, which means you are no longer are required to use multiple versions of Visual Studio."

    Under the "Native Application Development" section there is a statement that "application development has been moved to the newest Microsoft C++ compiler and supports the latest versions of [...] the Standard Template Library."

    My question is: does this mean that the latest version of the STL is only available when developing native applications with Application Builder or can I use these features in Subprojects while working on an OSDesign from within Platform Builder?

  • Adding these include paths

    $(_WINCEROOT)\public\common\sdk\crt\include;

    $(_WINCEROOT)\public\common\sdk\crt\include\stl;

    And this lib

    $(SG_OUTPUT_ROOT)\sdk\crt\lib\$(_TGTCPU)\msvcprt.lib

    to the sources file seems to work

  • Do I have to modify the sources file of the subproject to get this to work properly? If I try to include a header from the C++11 STL I get an error that the file does not exist.
