Above link is not working.
So as per your description,
1. first check your domain server database with sqlserver management studio(SSMS), if this is ok.
2. So now you are able to connect via ssms, so second option is connect crystal report to domain server db. Here is you just open the report and click menu:
Database - > Set Datasource Location .

One thing to be sure, that both (local and domain) server have same table or sp structure and datatype. If there is mismatch of current database and updated database , it will prompt and not update. Other wise it will update and when you click ok,
it preview the data. After check simply deploy the report at server location.
Now this is fine. So check with browser with the data you know already at preview. If that is not display , then same data you entered in crystal report directly and check with same database connection.
