How to call WlanGetAvailableNetworkList to not include any network profile RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, when we call WlanGetAvailableNetworkList we must provide the parameter 'dwFlags'. This parameter has two values, one that Include all ad hoc profiles (WLAN_AVAILABLE_NETWORK_INCLUDE_ALL_ADHOC_PROFILES 0x00000001) and another that Include all hidden network profiles (WLAN_AVAILABLE_NETWORK_INCLUDE_ALL_MANUAL_HIDDEN_PROFILES 0x00000002).

There is any way to call it without provide any kind of profile networks?

I just want the list of networks, not the networks + the profiles.

I have passed the value 0 as showed here:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms706749%28v=vs.85%29.aspx

and the result is same as passing the value 2.

    Thank you.

  • You can't prevent that profiles are included in the result of the scan, so you have tho filter the result afterwards.

Just check if WLAN_AVAILABLE_NETWORK_HAS_PROFILE is set in the dwFlags of each result. If so, skip out this network.
