In VS2017 Community I got a notification "You have a license for Visual Studio Enterprise 2017. Get it now.". I have no knowledge of buying an Enterprise license. Is this a bug?

Thanks. I went into Help | Register Product and clicked on "Check for an updated license" and that made it go away. A bit irritating as I hate seeing those purple flags.

    Hi frez,

    this is no a bug.

this kind of issues are reported before and they are closed with the tag not a bug.

if you are using a community version and don't want to upgrade to Visual Studio Enterprise 2017 then you can just ignore it.

if you try to visit the link then it will take you to the download page of Visual Studio.

once you download it, it will show you that it is the trial version.

so it is better to ignore if you don't want to upgrade.

if you want to upgrade then you can surely visit the link and buy the Visual Studio Enterprise 2017.

you will get some extra features and functionality that you don't get in Community version.
