Autorecover interval in PowerPoint Application RRS feed

  • Question

  • I need to set AutoRecover interval every 5 minutes for PowerPoint.

    For Word:
    Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.Application App = new Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.Application();
    App.Options.SaveInterval = 5;

    For Excel:
    Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Application App = new Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Application();
    App.AutoRecover.Enabled = true;
    App.AutoRecover.Time = 5;

    But I can't find "autorecover" property for PowerPoint.

  • Hello Kirill,

    The PowerPoint object model doesn't provide such objects.

    The settings are stored in the windows registry. Check out the following registry hive:

    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\xx.0\PowerPoint\Options

    Look for the FrequencyToSaveAutoRecoveryInfo key.
