Technical exception request | When to file ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

When exactly should i file a technical exception request?

I am developing a live streaming applicaiton that streams live stream from a server.

In this case should i file a technical exception request?

In Technical Certification Requirements , App Reliability section 5.1.4 it mentions that if my application communicates with a 3rd party device i must file a technical certification request.

In my case should i? Since i am streaming from a server.

  • If the app might conflict with one of the cert requirements, it would be wise to submit the technical exception form. You may also want to clarify any caveats using the "certification notes" field that's available in the second page of the submission process.

  • Hi Richard, Sorry  for the late response!

The test case numbers are the certification requirements. Use the link above to find the requirement in question. You can leave the "Test Case Name" blank or put in a short description that represents the requirement.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
