Is there example code where I can use the SharePoint People Picker in a SharePoint 2013 Provider-Hosted App? RRS feed

  • Question

  • All the examples I have found for using the SharePoint 2013 people picker is for either a SharePoint Hosted apps or those which use the Microsoft.SharePoint library.

So far, I am only able to reference Microsoft.SharePoint.Client for provider-hosted SharePoint 2013 apps.  Doing so results in a 64bit/32bit mismatch error.

  • I also found this one from Microsoft:

Mircosoft SharePoint 2013 Provider-Hosted App People Picker Example

Works out of the box.  I saw that one but didn't get a chance to try it out.

Apparently, the way it works by basically embedding a SharePoint-Hosted app with a Provider-Hosted App.  The main page is your SharePoint hosted app and your Provider-Hosted pages are loaded there.
