Multiple grouping by sort

I need to create "teams" of "4" based on a sort order in an Access Query. Highest with Lowest, etc. Example: Team 1: 1st, last, 2nd, 2nd to last. and so on.

Interesting question, but you must give more details. I understand this way: You have a single list of persons, say 12, which are ranked from 1 to 12. Then you want to get 3 teams like this:

   1, 12, 2, 11

   3, 10, 4, 9

   5, 8, 6, 7

Is this correct?
