Save a copy of a reply or forward email RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm looking for a way to save a copy of replied or forward email to a outlook folder. I have figured out the send, but can not figure out how to get to an forward or reply trigger.

  • Set the MailItem.SaveSentMessageFolder property (it must be a folder from the same store where the message was created) - Outlook will move the message there automatically after it is sent.

  • I am not sure I understand the problem - are you trying to save the copy of the original message? Wouldn't it still be sitting unchanged in its original parent folder? Or are you trying nto make the replies go to a folder other than the default Sent Items folder?

  • I'm trying to send the reply to other folder besides the default send items folder. I have a function setup so when a email is sent I user the PickFolder function to copy the message there. I looking to do the same for forward and replies.
