How to update Windows App Certification Kit RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I launch Windows App Certification Kit today, it prompt me to update to v2.2. I click the link http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/jj572486 and see two two download links. One is for Windows SDK for Windows 8 and the other is for a standalone WACK for Windows RT. Since I've already installed Windows SDK for Windows 8, I don't like to download another copy. Moreover, I use Windows 8 Pro so the second scenario does not apply to me either. In all, why does MS not provide an update for VS2002 express that upgrade all the components (e.g. WACK) once and for all?

  • Hi Leonard,

    Thanks for the feedback.

Please use the first link. It will download a installer for Windows SDK, where you can choose to only install the new WACK.

    Best regards,
