Report Viewer - Tabular format

Question

I am using visual studio 2015 community  and c# expression 2015, Sqlserver 2014 Database.

I would like to use report viewer to create the form to print an invoice. But when I select repot viewer , there is always only matrix format is coming. How can I build a tabular format layout in report viewer. Please help , I am new in report viewer.

it would be very helpful if anybody can guide me with simple steps  to create the report in tabular format .

Hello Pol,

The "Matrix" control is an universal control which can be used for plain tabular forms (lists) as well.

Hi,

Finish wizard. Delete what wizard created. After that you will have empty report and toolbox with report controls like this.

In the next image you can see difference between Table and Matrix. Matrix default behiviour is to group rows and columns and aggregate data. Table default behiviour doesnt group data and doesnt aggregate.

There is plenty of good tutorials already on internet and youtube. Just search SSRS tutorials.
