How to show map? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there any Microsoft product which can show maps?

I have some shapefiles and they are imported into SQL Server 2008 sp2. How to view these maps?

    Sincerely

  • SQL Server 2008 R2 has a map component integrated into reporting services that allows you to display spatial data retrieved from SQL Server on a map.

Otherwise, Bing Maps has both Javascript and Silverlight implementations that can access spatial data in SQL Server, but they don't simply "plug-in" - you'll have to do a bit of coding first.
