Problem with MAC-Office power point environment. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

We are getting a problem with power point presentation in MAC office 2008 environment. i.e. In our application we are allowing the user to download some output data in the form of PPTX file.

    In order to achieve this,

    1.       we have created one PPTX file, which contains  a slide with inserted excel object.

    2.       And then we are programmatically exporting data into that embedded excel work book using MS Open XML SDK.

    3.       Now if we open this file in MAC office 2008, One duplicate excel inserted object shape is creating automatically over the actual Inserted excel object shape image. But when we open the same file in windows office 2007 environment, there is no duplicate image.

    4.       And even we have tried to identify the duplicate image relations by unzipping and checking the relations, But there is no relation exists in relations part for that duplicate image.

Could you please suggest us to fix the problem.

    Thanks and Regards,

  • Please let’s know

-When opened the file using PPT 2008 for mac do you see Duplicate image or duplicate of the embedded inserted object itself on slides?
-Is the duplicate data (Embedded Excel file) is readable format when double-clicked in PowerPoint 2008 for Mac?
-Can you share the affected PPTX file
