icons in sharepoint lists RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good morning together,

Lists in Sharepoint are a great thing, I yet would like to customize the lists to meet our needs here, one of the requirements I see is the need to be able to ad icons in a list that represent the kind of element currently in the list at the beginning of each list element. How can this be achieved, as I have seen a similar option in the document management system of sharepoint.

    Thank you,

    Wolf

  • Thanks for the link Prasath. Very nifty.

I see this as working fine in IE, but wonder about Firefox (and probably Safari). I've had problems displaying Wingdings and related fonts in files saved as HTML, when viewed in non-IE browsers. The dlocc article makes an indirect reference to this too: "Wingdings, webdings, etc are fonts… therefore some users may see only the character."
