Timer jobs and daylight savings time RRS feed

  • Question

  • KB article http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/932563 notes that since DST was initiated, SharePoint runs these jobs one hour later than scheduled unless the time zone is set to one that does not use DST.

This seems to affect backups as well as the deployment of new solutions to the site.

It would be great to know when this is fixed.

  • You should be able to force the timer job to run what is in the que by executing this command:  stsadm.exe -o execadmsvcjobs

This should force the jobs in the que to fire off.

Nope, didn't work for me...  Had to wait an hour for the backup job to kick off...
