Internet Explorer 10(Metro) has no flash. RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I just installed Windows 8(64-bit), I had minimum problems, but when I went to Internet Explorer from the start page, with the tiles, and go to youtube.com it says it doesn't have flash. I installed both 32-bit and 64-bit versions for both IE and other browsers, but it still does not have flash capability. Fortunately, if I go to youtube.com from the Internet Explorer you access from the desktop interface, flash works.

  • Hi Geebmaster,

Sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing. The Metro Internet Explorer does not support plugins. As you discovered, the work around is to run sites requiring flash from classic Internet Explorer.
