  • Hi Yi,

I assume when you say "dll generated by WinRT component" you are referring to a DLL in a class library, is that correct?

In any event, strong names are useful for managed assemblies, but for a WinRT component it should not make a difference since it is always loaded in the same app package. Therefore you don't need to worry about the wrong one being used.

Could you please elaborate about why you think it is important to assign a strong name to a DLL generated by a WinRT component, i.e. what is the reason that you would like to do this?
