Windows 10 mobile: cannot get mdm command responses from lumia 550 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi.

    I have developed an MDM server to control Windows 10 machines. I have enrolled several desktop devices and I have managed them succesfully using SyncML 1.2 messages to get device information, apply restrictions, etc. Now I am trying to use the same server to manage a Microsoft Lumia 550 (Windows 10 Mobile), but the device never anwsers the commands given by the server, instead it sends always the same SyncML message with a status code of 500 for the "SyncHdr" command.

    In the second SyncML message sent by the device (where I would expect the answer to my commands) I find the following status node inside the SyncBody

        <Status>
          <CmdID>1</CmdID>
          <MsgRef>1</MsgRef>
          <CmdRef>0</CmdRef>
          <Cmd>SyncHdr</Cmd>
          <Data>500</Data>
        </Status>

    In the device configuration, in MDM account description I see this error message: "The sync could not be initiated (0x82ab0000)"

    Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Eduardo

  • Any success?  I'm getting the same exact issue when I'm trying to enroll my surface book.
