Animation Frame Rendered Event RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All

I am making an wpf application that creates animations, records the animation and saves it to video. When I play the animation its smooth as silk. When I record the animation using Expression Encoder the resulting video is choppy.

As I understand it My monitor is at 60Htz, the Animation engine plays at 60fps, and expression encoder records at 60 fps.

I understand that at times there maybe insufficient time to animate the scene then record the frame in video (and compress and save to the file system)

Is there a rendered event which I can hook into so that I can record the animation frame by frame. Its important that the resulting video is smooth (not choppy).

  • I tried the rendering event but it happens before and what I needed was after rendering.

I found another way to do this by using seek in the animation, and waiting for the screen to update and then take a screenshot.
