Storage repository with FTP in Azure

    Question

  • As I understand it the 'Storage' functions in Azure only covers blobs, tables and queues of services hosted in azure.

I want to setup a storage repository with FTP so I can schedule automated off-site backups of a linux server outside of the azure environment.

Is this possible and how would one go about setting this up?

Thankyou in advance for any feedback.

  • This is currently not possible.

You can vote for this feature here: http://feedback.azure.com/forums/217298-storage/suggestions/397724-allow-to-upload-data-to-azure-blobs-by-a-classic-f

It would however be possible to add a CloudService that hosts a ftp-server and saved the data in a blob storage. Someone already made this, but I haven't used it myself so not sure if it works correctly.
