Questions on Memory Controller / hardware initialization by OAL RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to debug a crash on my custom board during Kernel startup and would appreciate anyone's answers on my questions below:

Does the OAL reinitialize the memory controller or use the initializations done by the Xloader/Eboot?

If so, where is the code that the OAL initialize memory controller?

I have a hardtime finding where the OAL initializes hardware, especially the memory controller.

    Thanks for your help,

    Luan

Usually not, but it depends on your BSP. Most BSP's depend on the
bootloader for all low level initialization and then leave it untouched.

You, as the OEM, are the only one who can know...
