Questions about Session State RRS feed

Can multiple websites (from distinct domains) use the same sql state server database?

Is it necessary to make a database for each website?

One other question, if I am only using ASP.net membership and not storing data (like: Session["GroupId"] = Id; )in any session would it be neccessary to use something other than the default setting for the session state in the web.config?

Thanks!!! You all are the best!Cool

    Hi warrenkc2,

    Welcome to the ASP.NET forum.

Is it necessary to make a database for each website?

I think you could only set one database in web.config and you could use it in many website in one project.

One other question, if I am only using ASP.net membership and not storing data (like: Session["GroupId"] = Id; )in any session would it be neccessary to use something other than the default setting for the session state in the web.config?

About the membwehsip, as soon as your Configuration informatio have problem, any user information will be store  in membweship tables dynamically.

More information please refer to the article about the Membership.
