Mix Video and Microphone to one stream?

    Question

  • Hi there,

would it be possible to have a Webcam for videosource and an additional (USB?) Microphone as audiosource and grab These two into one videorecording?

Oh - and are USB- or 3,5mm jack for microphones the best bet?

    Best regards,
    Andy

  • Hi SW_Andy,

When you are using CaptureAPI to record something, you need assign video device id also the audio device id, in the audio device id, you can set USB microphone.

See more information: Quickstart: Capturing video using the MediaCapture API

  • Hi James,

thanks a lot. I also quickly tested https://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowsapps/media-capture-sample-adf87622/ with an external usb mixer, which is connected to a XLR Mic. Worked also in combination with the Webcam stream.
