Consume Windows Runtime Extension in DLL?

    Question

  • I'm working on an assembly that will contain all the code to create a DirectX engine for a Windows Store App. Some of what I need, such as CoreWindow and DisplayOrientations, are only available when I enable the "Consume Windows Runtime Extension" flag in the project options. (/ZW) Is this legal to do or will my app fail submission? I ask because when creating Widows Store DLLs, Visual Studio disables that flag by default.

    Thanks for your input.
