Sign in requested again when trying to open infopath with same permission RRS feed

  • Question

  • external users can access the SharePoint Online site but some of many of them (not all) are suddenly requested to sign in sign in again when trying to open InfoPath form from a list.  That list has the same permission as parent site and they can perfectly see the list. But, when they click one of then to open it , InfoPath form supposed to open but the site asks for sign in again for some users who had no issue until last week.

Since some can continue to access, could this be caused by IE or some other application update?  or is this still most likely something to do with permission?

  • Hi puffer, it definitely could be IE settings being changed. Here are some things to check:

    1. Make sure the site is added to the trusted sites in IE. You may want to add an all-encompasssing http://*.Sharepoint.com

    2. Make sure "Require server verification..." is unchecked.

    3. Under "Custom level," make sure "Automatic logon..." is checked.

Also, if you have any data connections in InfoPath, the users will need access to them as well.
