Diagnose TCP sockets RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

For the App Service Azure provides "Diagnose and solve problems" where we can see TCP Connections summary. But just the count is not enough for us - we need to know which process is responsible for each tcp connection. Unfortunately Kudu doesn't allow to execute netstat command.

Could anyone provide any info how we can achieve this? Googling doesn't help. :(

    Thanks in advance!
    Eugene

  • Thank you for the question. We are always striving to expose more data to customers but at this time, it is not possible to view netstat level of detail for your web app.

Please note that this may not be possible but am Azure Support Engineers should be able to pull this data for you but they might have to share a highly sanitized version that removes any internal information. It might be worth opening a support ticket to see if they can provide you with a list of how many tcp connections each process is creating in a given time period.

Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
