AuthenticationFailed: Failed to validate the access token in the 'Authorization' header

    Question

  • Hi There,

I am trying to set up a Azure data lake store, but every time i do this i get the following error message after i open the data lake store:

AuthenticationFailed: Failed to validate the access token in the 'Authorization' header. Trace: 871fde7f-6d6f-493c-bf97-f681af8fd681 Time: 2017-03-30T03:28:41.4850631-07:00

This message is repeated everywhere troughout de data lake store. Also within the Explorer. Because of this error it is not possble for me to use the Azure Data Lake store. Does anyone have a solution for me?

    Kind regards,

    Rohan

  • Hi Rohan,

Did you use REST APIs with Azure Data Lake Store? And please make sure access token is configured correct and it is valid.

    Thanks,

    Chunni

  • Hi Rohan,

It should be due to you used incorrect tenant id when acquire the token.

Your expected tenant id is https://login.windows.net/d0e8d473-7792-4de0-b880-22fee2e87e53

    Thanks,

    Chunni

  • Hi Rohan,

Can you detail for us the set of steps that led you to get into this situation? Are you simply trying through code you are developing or is there a way to get into this situation through the portal somehow.

    Thanks,

    Amit

  • I am having the same problem. I created the Azure Data Lake Storage through the portal.

AuthenticationFailed: Failed to validate the access token in the 'Authorization' header. Trace: 811817f9-8ab2-4e3f-a832-45a488127648 Time: 2017-10-13T11:25:13.5893958-07:00
