  • This is not the kind of question that can be answered in a VB forum.  You really need to ask people who are dedicated to web technologies.  If you wish to stay in the MS family of forums then please consider posting in the ASP.NET forum:  http://forums.asp.net/

    Good luck!

  • No.. You have to use httpwebrequest/httpwebresonse.  System.Net.WebClient specifically rejects the Range header.

  • Thank You Tom Dude

This year i will be 14 . There will be a software competition for kids I am deciding to make an advanced download manager last year i made orange utilities (set of small tools which includes system information, file tweaker and compression and un compression utility)

I managed to come in finals (6th out of 100 entries)

But guess what the sudoku game won (judges were not great ) , this time i have an advanced algorithm

I want to make an download manager with resume capability ( i know i have to use httpwebrequest and webresponse classes)

But can anyone show me a resume download manger short program and explain the code . Apart from this users will also be able to set default folder for downloads.

Their will be detailed information about on going downloads and I want multiple downloads running at same time , is it possible ( i heard from someone that we can only use maximum 5 background workers )

but i think downloadfile async should work fine without freezing application

    Thanks

  • You'll want to begin by looking at the httpwebrequest.addrange method.
