  • VOIP is a kind of OS layer, (communication). VB is not created for that, VB itself uses those layers and that is translated for programmers in a for humans easier to handle way.

If you want to make yourself those translations you better can use a program language as unmanaged C++ (not VC# or VF# or managed C++). .Net is created to make it for us developers easier to get the results.

So you can use VB with VOIP, but in fact you should not be aware of that (or it should not be something special, it is just voice).

  • Hi Satnam,

    Welcome to the MSDN Forum.

I think Cor has answered what is VoIP, so I provide you a few examples for your reference:

Both of the samples is in C#, so this online tools should be helpful to convert it to VB.net: http://www.developerfusion.com/tools/convert/csharp-to-vb/

I hope this will be helpful.

    Best regards,

  • Hello,

Try and have a look at the following sample program: http://www.voip-sip-sdk.com/p_184-vb-net-softphone-source-code-voip.html

Hope you will find it useful.
