Event Notification using Java SDK,healthvault application not able to get notified? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Team,

able to subscribe to Healthvault for change event of records of type 'blood pressure'.

have set offline rule to access 'blood pressure',and have checked option to invoke eventing methods in config center.

my action URL in config center is http://localhost/redirect.aspx

have set notification handler URL to https://localhost:8443/eventHandler

eventHandler doesnt get invoked on change of Blood Pressure records in Healthvault.

am I missing some configuration here?

is it fine to have 'localhost' in handler URL or should IP detail be provided?

my system is inside a corporate network.Should firewall rules be set to allow notification XML messages from Healthvault?if so plz provide the IP,and port no to which access needs to be given.

    Thanks,

    Arun

  • To deliver a notification, the HealthVault service needs to send a https request to a server that it can locate, which means that server needs to be globally visible on the internet. You will need to talk to your company's network team to see if that is possible with your firewall.
