How to set the mime type in Azure CDN file? RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have HTML5 videos that don't work on IE9 (Chrome and Safari are okay). It seems that the mime type needs to be set to video/mp4. These files are on Azure CDN and our business users use CloudBerry Explorer to upload them to CDN. We need to set the mime type during the file uploads. The tool allows you to use the Content-Type for this purpose but the list doesn't have the video/mp4 option. We may be able to it programatically, but that means we won't be able to use the tool and probaly have to write our own tool from scratch to make it easy on users. Or everytime a file is uploaded, we need to programatically update the mime-type which is again cumbersome.

Anyone experienced this issue and any ideas on this?
