I realize this is a pseudo non-Microsoft product, but I had this working with not issues until I migrated to VS2015 and update to SQLite 1.0.105.2

Do be clear I have dealt with this error in the past migrating from .Net 2.0 to 3.5, now I am on 4.0 hoping to migrate to 4.5 or 4.6.

I have tried virtually every solution I could read and process on the web over the last three days, starting with the dozen or so listed on this link...

    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/13028069/unable-to-load-dll-sqlite-interop-dll

So lets review: the error after using one click deploy is list here, details of the config and set up are below the error.

This did not work at all and could not be located in the references to confirm it was loaded.

The bottom line is that if NuGet packages can not effectively install these products, NuGet is useless and should be removed from Visual Studio.

I have tried moving files into various \bin folders. I have checked my compile CPU type, everything is x86.

As an add on note, NuGet reported one update, but nothing was displayed. I clicked refresh while on the Update menu option still nothing displayed. I closed the NuGet Package Manager window and reopened and low and behold, there was the package needing update, Entity Framework.

I would be grateful for any other suggestions on why this will not work in Visual Studio 2015 from the NuGet download. I have tried many solutions suggested for VS 2012/13 with no luck as well.

Of course if I copy the missing Interop to the project root and recompile and publish the app will work because the code will find the .dll.

I would really like to know how to fix this.

    Hi march11,

System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'SQLite.Interop.dll': The specified module could not be found.

Have you tried the Using Native Library Pre-Loading at https://system.data.sqlite.org/index.html/doc/trunk/www/downloads.wiki?

    Best Regards,

yes, it still does not place the correct version in an accessible location and the error still comes up when trying to distribute the installation.

    Hi march11,

Here is a workaround that may be helpful with your issue, please try it.

Build the project, and then went into the bin/Debug/ folders and copied the x86 and x64 folders that contained the SQLite.Interop.dll files. Then included those folders in your project.

    Best Regards,

    Jean
