Automatically generate testcases for a model-file RRS feed

  • Question

  • I was wondering why does there need to be (or did I misunderstood) so much intelligence inside the .cord-file  about the values I want to use, the sequences etc.
    Isn't there a way to generate (randomly?) non-finite test-cases?

  • Hi Lennarttt,

the Sailboat is a good example for OTF testing. It works right away e.g. with the machine "TestSuite".
During On-The Fly-Test a log-file and the explored path is saved as graph view.
Usually it runs on any model and there are several cord-switches how to configure OTF.
A starting point you can find here:

    Hope this can help.

  • Actually you can test all, however, for some parameters, the domain is infinite (e.g. string, System.Object), so for most cases you need to provide the set.

    Thanks,

    Xiang

  • Hi bububa,

    Thanks again for your answer.

I haven't really looked into On-The-Fly testing yet. What would be a good place to start reading?
When I run on-the-fly with some of the samples, It seems to generate an infinite number of empty testmodels.

  • Thanks again.
Am i correct to say on-the-fly testing cannot test at all without giving the set of data for the action's parameters?
