I cannot login to SQL server Authentication. Why? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have installed SQL server 2008 onto my PC and I have logged in before, but now it will not allow me to use the SQL server Authentication side of the database. And that is where I have stored all of my DATABASES....

normally I log in as SA and use my password, but it keeps giving me login errors...

    Why?

  • Check the reason for the login failure in the SQL Server errorlog file.

  • Hi,

Also check whether you have enabled SQL Server and Windows Authentication Mode,  login to server using Windows login account and double check that.
