IOCTL_NDIS_QUERY_GLOBAL_STATS support in NDIS 6.8 Windows 10 RRS feed

  • In order to send an OID from usermode, an NDIS miniport driver must first declare the OID in its OID_GEN_SUPPORTED_LIST.  In the case of WDI, you do this via WDI_TLV_IHV_NON_WDI_OIDS_LIST.

Make sure your custom OID is in that list, and then try to send the IOCTL.  If that still doesn't work, what status code does the ioctl return?

  • It comes through WDI_GET_ADAPTER_CAPABILITIES.  If you're using the marshalling stubs, you'd call GenerateWdiGetAdapterCapabilities with WDI_GET_ADAPTER_CAPABILITIES_PARAMETERS::InterfaceAttributes::NonWdiOidsList containing a list of all the OID numbers that you want to advertise to NDIS.
