  • Hi Phanikiran,

Thank you for posting in the MSDN forum.

Whether you install the VS2012 Update1?

If possible, you could check this blog about “Visual Studio 2012 Coded UI Testing (CUIT) Cross Browser in Action Video with IE (Internet Explorer), Firefox, and Chrome”, it shared us the useful information about the Cross Browser Testing with Coded UI Tests.

I suggest you download the .pdf file about the CUIT Cross Browser Testing, I think it will be helpful for you.

If there's any concern, please feel free to let me know.

    Best Regards,

  • As per the link & doc mentioned we are trying to do  but we are getting some exception like:

The playback engine could not find the Selenium binaries required to run cross browser coded UI tests. This may be because the Selenium .NET bindings and Selenium Chrome driver are not installed or an older version of the Selenium Components Installer was used. For more information about installing the binaries.

one more doubt like as per cross browser manual step mentioned like UiTestPluginForCrossBrowser.msi we are not getting that option and also Crossbrowser selenium testing wizard also not coming.

can you please suggest remedy for it.

  • Hi Phanikiran,

    Glad to receive your reply.

This may be because the Selenium .NET bindings and Selenium Chrome driver are not installed or an older version of the Selenium Components Installer was used.

Based on the error message, it seems that you don’t install “Selenium .NET bindings and Selenium Chrome driver” or the latest version.

If possible, I suggest you download them and re-install them again.

You could download them from here:

    http://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/11cfc881-f8c9-4f96-b303-a2780156628d

Note: this installer works with VS 2012 Update 2 CTP3 or higher.

  • HI Jack Zhai,

I have tried same thing and kept all selenuiam .net binding and chrome driver binaries to the following location still not working:

    Castle.Core.dll

    Selenium.WebDriverBackedSelenium.dll

    ThoughtWorks.Selenium.Core.dll

    WebDriver.dll

    WebDriver.Support.dll

    its giving errors like:

The playback engine could not find the Selenium binaries required to run cross browser coded UI tests. This may be because the Selenium .NET bindings and Selenium Chrome driver are not installed or an older version of the Selenium Components Installer was used. For more information about installing the binaries

we tried to install  CodedUITestCrossBrowserSetup its giving error like:

ms visaul studio cross browser testting setup for selenuiam wizard ended prematurely
