SDIO wifi on WinCE 6.0 iMX28 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

i need to have SDIO WiFi at my iMX28 based device.

After some researching i found SDIO WiFi from APM . I got SDIO drivers for it, looks like after connecting device i can see new NDL1 device in the active drivers,

    but nothing happens.

Does somebody have expirience with SDIO WiFi?

Does somebody know which components should be included to OS image for it?

Does WinCE 6 has build in WiFi manager or we have to use external SW for that?

    Thank you for the help!

Have you enabled SYSGEN_ETH_80211 to the OS image?

  • Hi,

With regards to components to be selected  check if you have added:

    1. Components under local area network for wired local area n/w (SYSGEN_ETHERNET) , wireless LAN  STA (SYSGEN_ETH_80211).

    2. SD Bus driver (from Microsoft) or any customization done by you / BSP vendor. Also the SD Host controller.

    3. Is your Wifi adapter named NDL1 ?. A good place to start looking at this is the registry for the SDIO-wifi driver and any customization related to ip address etc if you would require.

    4. You should also have something like NetUI (SYSGEN_CONNMC) in your OS design for the scanned APs to be displayed . Components pertaining to this should be under shell and user interface.

    Hope this helps.
