Change logo on MDS home web page RRS feed

  • Question

  • On the MDS web site there is a logo in the top left hand corner that says "Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Master Data Services".  Is there a way to change this icon?  Our main objective is to create some kind of different visual representation for our Dev, Test, and Production environments.  We thought that changing the icon was the best way to do this.

  • You can find the images in
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Master Data Services\WebApplication\Images

and there's CSS files in the web application that you could tweak.

Probably neither of these two options are supported and can lead to problems in the future if you would need customer support.

  • Thanks Fredrik.  The file in question is logo.png in the folder that you mentioned.  Change this file and then you will see the difference once you refresh the web page.  Remember to make a backup before you change it.

  • Looks like changing image file no longer works with MDS 2016. Any ideas?
