Dynamically add fields in form RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all

We wish to create a SP 2010 site that will allow us to track our users skills and qualifications. What we we'd like is to create a form a user can add their data which is then stored in a list.

Is it possible to have it so that a user can add one item, let's say a qualification such as a Cisco CCNA. Once entered the form dynamically adds another field below so the user can add another qualification if they wish?

    Thank you

  • You can use SharePoint form library with Repeating table in InfoPath as shown below:Or you can create a front end page with html and javascript code and add the entries to SharePoint list using Client side object model.

  • Hi Devil (nice disguise you have there)- in addition to Sathiya's option, if you don't want to use InfoPath, you could use Kwiz- a third party tool. Note: I have no affiliation with them, just vouching for their product.

  • Hello both

Thanks both for your suggestions. Will give Sathiya's suggestion a bash first thing tomorrow and report back. Cameron - no problems, unfortunately use of 3rd party tools are out of the question but thank you for the suggestion.

    Cheers
