Unable to publish Expression Web from Windows 7 Home Edition RRS feed

  • Question

  • I recently upgraded computers and am now running Windows 7 Home Edition. I have installed an early version of Expression Web and I am now unable to publish my site. I am suspecting a security issue with Windows 7 because I have no problem publishing the site from my computer running Windows XP. Any help would be appreciated.

  • No I do not get an error message, it simply redisplays the Login and Password box as if the information I entered was incorrect. I went through this process several times making sure I did not mistype the information but each time the login box reappeared.

  • OK. The first thing to check is whether xWeb is allowed through the Windows Firewall. Then check that the Passive FTP setting is applied and is the same in IE. (Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - Browsing).
