Net.Tcp Listener Adapter RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to start the Net.Tcp Listener Adapter on my computer.

The problem is that it is "STARTING", but never "STARTS"

Basically it seems that it is forever "Starting" while never getting to the "Started" status.

When I reboot and try to start it manually....after a long period of time, I get the following popup error:

Error 1053: The service did notrespond the start or control request in a timely fashion

How can I go about resolving this issue?

Answers

  • Hi,

Please first try to turn off IPv6 as first step.

Other repair commands that you can try are :

netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt (reset TCP/IP stack)
netsh winsock reset c:\winsock.txt (reset winsock)
    netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log (reset IPv4 TCP/IP stack)

Also please see reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) that provides a fix-me.

Before starting, better create a system restore point, just in case.

    Best Regards,
    Amy Peng
