Two-way Syncing between OneNote and .docx files RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hello,

I am interested in having my OneNote document export to a folder-subfolder arrangement of .docx files that would replicate the OneNote structure.  When the .docx files are updated, I would like the Onenote document to be updated with the changes as well.

Assuming something like this does not already exist, what would be the best approach for building this?  I've worked some with the OpenXML format and I've browsed the MSDN documentation for OneNote SDK.

Initially I was imagining an application that could sit in the task bar and either detect changes or respond to events, but reading around I whether it's even possible to program against OneNote without going through a host program (Word, in this case.)

    Guidance and direction sought.

    Thank you,
