  • Hello Bhavesh,

Is the new SQL Server of same version as you old one? Are you using SQL Server authentification or only Windows?

  • it would depend on the versions you are migrating from and what you need to migrate.

  • Hi Bhavesh,

I think Glenn would like to say that migration between different SQL Server versions are different, for example, from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2000, from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2005, this reply is related to your question, so I cleared the flag. Have you checked the linked within Tibor’s reply and Uri’s reply? They are fit for your requirement, please check them.

  • Something which lots of ppl miss is the backup of the master key. You need to restore this once the databases are moved.
