Attaching remote agents to DPM Server that are on Untrusted Domain RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

I am following the below guides to attach remote DPM agents to our on premise DPM server. What MS documentation is suggesting is that the remote endpoints need 1-to-1 NAT in place so that the DPM server can contact and attach them. Does anyone else have or know of any documentation that will allow the endpoint to be attached without the use of the FQDN?

  • Hi,

You should be able to give the agent a DNS Suffix. From a domain in your name and point it to your NAT address. This should make i able to give a the computer an other FQDN

  • Yes I have done this but this still creates a 1-to-1 NAT relationship for the endpoint. If I have multiple endpoints behind this one Public IP then we start to have issues with how many remote DPM agents I can deploy.

Do you know of a workaround to this?
